Meet Dr. Yu

Background & Experience

I am a bilingual (Mandarin) licensed clinical psychologist providing individual psychotherapy in-person and online. I specialize in working with teens and adults who are struggling with addiction, substance misuse, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship conflicts, and major life transitions. I value diversity as well as individuality, and I am passionate about working with multicultural and marginalized populations.

Since 2013, I have accrued extensive training and clinical experience working with culturally diverse individuals in private practice, community mental health, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, intensive outpatient program (IOP), short-term residential, and elementary school settings.

In therapy, I use an integration of science-based and relationship-focused approaches to support you on your journey of personal growth and recovery. For addiction treatment, I work from a non-12-step lens to collaborate with you on forming your goals and empower you in making personal changes at your pace.
